Irma is a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) at Healing Waves Therapy & Counseling PLLC. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is passionate about supporting individuals and families as they navigate life's challenges and transitions.
With experience working with diverse populations, Irma is especially committed to creating a compassionate, culturally responsive, and non judgmental space where clients feel heard and understood. Irma is particularly interested in supporting clients dealing with anxiety, relationship struggles, and major life changes.
Irma's therapeutic approach is collaborative and flexible, drawing from evidence based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and relational work. As she continues to grow in her clinical practices, she values meeting clients where they are and integrating their cultural and spiritual backgrounds into the healing process.
Outside of therapy, Irma enjoys traveling, spending time with friends and family, and scrapbooking.
